What we make

How RubberSmith works

RubberSmith is the rubber and silicone parts service of Dongguan Huasheng Precision Technology (Huasheng Precision), a CNC machining manufacturer in Dongguan, China. Molding is done at partner factories matched to the material and process. We handle drawing review, material selection questions, quotation, tooling coordination, inspection agreements and shipping — and machine the metal inserts for bonded parts when needed.

Stage What we review with you
Material Temperature range, fluids and chemicals, compression set, compliance needs
Process Compression, transfer, injection, LSR or die-cut — matched to quantity and geometry
Tooling Cavities, parting line, flash direction, venting and insert location
Production Hardness and dimensional checks, cosmetic standard, packing

Common rubber materials at a glance

Material Strength Weak points Typical uses
Silicone (VMQ) Very wide temperature range, food and medical grades available Low tear strength, poor with fuels and oils Seals, keypads, food and medical parts
EPDM Weather, ozone, water and steam Swells in oils and fuels Outdoor seals, HVAC, water systems
NBR (nitrile) Oils and fuels Poor weather and ozone resistance O-rings, hydraulic and fuel seals
FKM (fluoroelastomer) High temperature, fuels and chemicals Higher cost, limited low-temperature flexibility Engine, chemical and semiconductor seals

Guides

How a project runs

  1. Send drawings and requirements — drawing (PDF) and model (STEP), material and hardness if known, temperature and fluids, quantity.
  2. Review — we come back with questions on material, tolerances (usually per ISO 3302-1), flash location and inserts.
  3. Quotation — tooling and piece price quoted separately, plus any testing and documents.
  4. Samples — first samples checked for hardness, dimensions and appearance before production.
  5. Production and shipping — packing and shipping confirmed per order.
